1. About TickZen Insights

TickZen Insights publishes research and analysis on U.S.-listed stocks: company analyses, valuation work, and earnings previews and reactions. Insights is part of Tickzen, which is operated by Signalyn Zen Technologies.

This policy explains how our articles are written, where their facts come from, and how we separate facts from opinion.

2. Who Writes Our Articles

Every article names its author in the byline. Each author has a profile page with their biography and a list of everything they have written for TickZen Insights.

An article is published under the name of the person who wrote it. When an article is written by the team rather than one person, the byline says so.

3. Sources

We work from primary sources wherever they exist:

  • Company filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, read from SEC EDGAR: annual and quarterly reports (10-K, 10-Q) and current reports (8-K), including the earnings press releases companies file with them.
  • Company announcements such as earnings releases.
  • Market data in TickZen's own database: prices, financial statements, analyst estimates and earnings history, collected from market data providers including Yahoo Finance and Finnhub.

Where a figure comes from a specific filing or announcement, we name it, and link to it where we can, so readers can check it themselves.

4. TickZen Data and Estimates

Some numbers in our articles are calculated by TickZen from the data above, for example a company's historical earnings beat rate, its average share-price move after past earnings reports, the move implied by options prices before a report, or a fair-value estimate. These are calculations on historical or market data, and estimates are not forecasts of what will happen. We say when a number is a TickZen calculation, and many of the same figures are shown on the stock's pages on Tickzen.

5. Facts and Opinions

Our articles contain both facts and the author's analysis. Facts, such as reported revenue, earnings or guidance, should be checkable against a source. Opinions, including ratings such as "Buy", "Hold" or "Sell", valuations and views on a company's prospects, are the author's own judgement and are written so that readers can tell them apart from the facts they are based on.

6. Accuracy and Checking

Before an article is published, its figures are checked against the filing, release or dataset they come from. Numbers are reported as the company reported them; when we adjust a figure or use a non-GAAP measure, we say so.

If an error gets through, we correct it openly as described in our Corrections Policy.

7. Dates and Updates

Every article shows the date it was published and, if it has been changed since, the date it was last updated. Market data in an article, such as a share price, is as of the time of writing unless the article says otherwise. Live prices shown alongside an article come from TickZen's data and may differ from those in the text.

8. Advertising

Tickzen shows advertising served by Google AdSense. Ads are placed automatically by Google; advertisers do not choose, review or approve our articles, and advertising does not decide what we write about.

9. Not Investment Advice

TickZen Insights articles are research and opinion for information only. They are not personal investment advice or a recommendation to buy or sell any security for your situation. Investing involves risk, including the loss of capital. Consider your own circumstances, and consult a licensed financial adviser if you need advice.
