1. Our Commitment
We want every fact in TickZen Insights to be right. When we get something wrong, we correct it in the article and say what we changed, so readers who saw the original know what was wrong. This policy applies to all articles on TickZen Insights and works alongside our Editorial Policy.
2. What Counts as an Error
A factual error is something in an article that is not true and can be checked, for example:
- a wrong number, such as revenue, earnings per share, a growth rate or a share price;
- a wrong date, name, ticker or company detail;
- a misstatement of what a company reported or said in a filing or release;
- a calculation done incorrectly.
An author's opinion or rating is not an error because a reader disagrees with it. But if an opinion rests on a fact that turns out to be wrong, we correct the fact and say whether it changes the conclusion.
3. How We Correct Errors
When we confirm a factual error, we:
- fix the error in the article;
- add a correction note at the end of the article that says what was wrong, what it now says, and the date of the correction;
- if the error changes the article's main conclusion, say so in a note at the top of the article as well.
The article's "Updated" date changes whenever it is edited. We do not remove an article to hide a mistake.
Example note: "Correction, October 16, 2026: An earlier version of this article gave third-quarter revenue as $1.2 billion. The company reported $1.02 billion."
4. Minor Fixes
Spelling, grammar, formatting and broken links are fixed without a correction note, as long as the change does not alter the meaning of the article.
5. Updates With New Information
Sometimes the facts change after an article is published, for example when a company releases new results or changes its guidance. That is not a correction. When we add new information to an article, we mark it as an update with its date, so readers can tell what was known when the article was first published.
6. Report an Error
If you think an article contains a factual error, please tell us. Include the link to the article, the statement you believe is wrong and, if you have one, a source that shows the correct information.
